ALIV makes donation to South Beach Clinic

As we as a nation face this unprecedented challenge and continue to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic, corporate citizens like Aliv, the nation’s fastest growing mobile telecommunications company has made a recent donation of four Push-To-Talk (PTT) devices to the South Beach Clinic.

Dr. Eugene Marcus Cooper, President of the Medical Association of the Bahamas had this to say about the recent contribution; “Aliv has been an invaluable resource for the medical community for some time now. From the concierge service it has provided to many busy Doctors to the generous support for the annual conference of the Medical Association of the Bahamas which unfortunately was postponed, and now with the donation of the Push to Talk (PTT) devices at the South Beach Clinic. These devices will allow the staff and volunteers to communicate with each other to improve the flow of patients and reduce unnecessary exposure for all workers involved.  We are truly grateful that Aliv has been eager to assist us during this very challenging time.”

Push to Talk (PTT) is a Cloud Based Unified Solution that enables multiple point to point communication over the ALIV LTE data network.  These donated devices will allow doctors and nurses at the clinic to be more productive and efficient with faster communication.  Having this new PTT service allows teams to effectively manage their offices, stay connected and communicate simultaneously with one another if needed, with the simple push of a button.

Kareem Hanna, Push to Talk Operations Lead commented on the donation.  “In keeping with our corporate and social responsibility, ALIV’s commitment to help our customers communicate during these unusual times is paramount.  They have seen a huge shift in how they interact during the pandemic and we are steadfast in our support for them, especially during these most difficult times.

The multiple features offered through the PTT service provide the clinic with increased openness, transparency and adeptness, while also helping them achieve greater productivity. In addition to sophisticated workforce management and ring-fencing capabilities, when implemented, the ‘Fleet Dispatcher’ not only has the ability to audibly communicate with individuals who hold the device, but can also lock the device if required.

Aliv, by way of Cable Bahamas’ Business Solutions Team understands the immediate need for companies who require a mobile workforce, especially during these times.  Cable Bahamas Business Solutions offers the PTT service as a cost effective option as the device cost is far less than a traditional two-way radio and therefore provides an affordable communication solution.  Additionally, the PTT service is easily configured and tailored to meet specific needs of local business owners.

The service is live and available by contacting Delmaro Duncombe, Head of Small & Medium Business at delmaro.duncombe@cablebahamas.com.
