Cable Bahamas Group of Companies teams up with local NGO’s to Empower meaningful connections

Cable Group of Companies launches Connecting People Who Care Campaign

Smart phones, computers and a myriad of applications, are making a huge difference in how we connect with the people and things that matter the most to us. Technology enables our work, play and connection to the people we love. Reliable internet connectivity allows us to connect within our communities, work environments and with those who are in the greatest need of our support.

That’s why, Cable Bahamas Group of Companies, the leader in enabling connective lifestyles and experiences created a dynamic campaign called, Connecting People Who Care.

This campaign provides an exciting and interactive platform that allows the company to highlight three non-profit organizations who utilize Cable Bahamas services in order to better support and connect with the people who need their help.  Our partnered organizations include The Bahamas Red Cross, Hands for Hunger and Bahamas Harvest Church.  Each of these groups has chosen a hero within their organization.  This hero has been selected for the work they do within the community and the impact that they make.

“We recognize the significant contributions that each of our partners provide within the community on a daily basis,” said Charnette Thompson, Vice President of Commercial Innovations.  “Moreover we understand the role that technology plays in helping to keep them connected.  We are incredibly proud to be able to offer reliable, robust service that allows them to work, connect and continue to make noteworthy contributions in the communities they serve.

As a part of this campaign, we have invited the general community to vote for the hero that they admire the most.  Just visit rev.bs/connectingpeoplewhocare.  The organization and hero with the most votes will win cash and prizes valued at $5,000 inclusive of 6-months FREE internet service.

“As the industry leader, we remain committed to ensuring we provide the necessary support to organizations that allow them to make a positive impact within the communities they serve,” said Franklyn Butler, Chief Executive Officer for Group of Companies.  “The Connecting People Who Care Campaign was launched in an effort to help reinforce our dedication in offering the right solutions and reliable connectivity.”
