REV warns of e-mail scam targeting REV customers

REV advised today that it has been informed of yet another Internet ad that is currently being distributed that falsely appears to be originating from the company and is targeting REV customers.

REV wishes to inform all of its subscribers that this ad, which claims that the company is offering a free Samsung phone and other gifts and provides an unauthorised and fraudulent link for customers to complete a survey and provide personal information, is not from the company and warns that no one should click on the link or follow any instructions contained in the post. The fake ad is designed to deceive people into providing personal information, giving hackers access to the user’s e-mail.

The company does not give instructions of this kind to its subscribers and advises all users to practice extreme caution when clicking on links of this nature, even when they appear to be from a trusted source.
