REV Public Notice – TNT, TBS & Cartoon Network

Effective April 23rd, REV television subscribers are advised that the Prime package channels TNT, channel 450, Cartoon Network, channel 301, and TBS, channel 225, will be replaced with TNT International, Cartoon Network International and TBS International, respectively.
Entertainment TV, a new channel to the REV lineup will be added to channel 454 to replace TNTI, which is moving to the Prime package.

NBC Universal Removes Oxygen Channel From the Region

REV television subscribers are advised that effective February 28th, 2018, NBC Universal Entertainment Group, a division of NBC Universal will cease carriage of the Oxygen network to the region.

REV warns of e-mail scam targeting REV customers

REV advised today that it has been informed of an Internet ad that is currently being distributed that falsely appears to be originating from the company and is targeting REV customers. REV wishes to inform all of its subscribers that this ad, which claims that the company is offering a free Apple iPhone X and other gifts and provides an unauthorised and fraudulent link for customers to complete a survey and provide personal information, is not from the company and warns that no one should click on the link or follow any instructions contained in the post. The fake ad is designed to deceive people into providing personal information, giving hackers access to the user’s e-mail. The company does not give instructions of this kind to its subscribers and advises all users to practice extreme caution when clicking on links of this nature, even when they appear to be from a trusted source. REV Announces Spike rebranding to Paramount Network

Starting January 18th, Spike and Viacom will rebrand the Spike programming service to Paramount Network, located on REV channel 453. Viacom describes Paramount Network as a “general entertainment destination focused on delivering bold, original, premium-quality scripted network series, specials and events.”
While this is not a movie channel, subscribers can expect to see a reference to the “heritage of Paramount Pictures for a halo effect, using cinematic tools of the trade for the net’s promotion, complete with fonts and camera angles familiar to film buffs.” The rebrand is set to launch with a live, hour-long version of the massive hit Lip Sync Battle. According to Adweek, “Niels Schuurmans, CMO for Paramount Network, TV Land and CMT said, “This is a reinvention. It’s a dramatic shift in attitude and programming. It’s a big, bold move.”
