The Cable Bahamas Group Bids Farewell to Veteran HR Professional Beverly Saunders and Welcomes Edward Duncombe.

The Cable Bahamas Group is preparing to say farewell to their first female Vice President of Human Resources, Mrs. Beverly Saunders. Mrs. Saunders, who officially retired at the end of June will continue to work with the company on a consulting basis for the next few months. Mrs. Saunders is a native of the United States and emigrated to The Bahamas to join her husband more than 20 years ago.

Mrs. Saunders has enjoyed a lengthy career in various areas of training and hospitality industries, the lion share of which was spent leading the Human Resources department for Atlantis Bahamas. She joined the Cable Bahamas Group of Companies more than 5 years ago with a mission to revolutionize the companys HR department and boost staff morale and company output.

Through a series of data driven campaigns her team has been able assess needs, and identify strengths and weaknesses in various departments in hopes of helping the media conglomerate perform at optimum levels. During her tenure in leadership she made a point of offering staff members valuable training resources and materials as well as connecting management and executives with world class thought leaders in the spheres of leadership, management and business.

Mr. Franklyn Butler II CEO of the Cable Bahamas Group shared It feels just like yesterday that Beverly joined our team. Its incredible to see the work she has done to transform our people. Our level of engagement is well documented and on a consistently positive trend. We wish her all the very best.

Mr. Edward Duncombe, a distinguished HR professional, left a prestigious post as Assistant Vice President of Human Resources at the University of The Bahamas to assume the role of Vice President of Human Resources at the Cable Bahamas Group.  During a recent interview Mr. Butler expressed his enthusiasm about having Mr. Duncombe join the Cable Bahamas team.

Im excited that Ed is bringing his passion and enthusiasm for people, and understanding people and process to our business. I am confident that his expertise will set us on a path of continued success. Obviously Beverly set an excellent foundation for us and I am really looking forward to see Ed take us to the next level.
