REV announces launch of new free ‘TV everywhere’ app to TV customers

"REVGO Play gives customers the freedom to watch live and recorded shows and movies on the go." REV customers will have much to smile about this Christmas, with the launch of REV’s new TV everywhere app, REVGO Play on December 13th. The app gives REV television customers the freedom to watch their favourite channels live or record them to the cloud, free on any device. Offered at no extra cost to REV customers, REVGO Play delivers up to 50 live TV channels, and 12 local radio stations in its initial launch. The app also gives customers the option to record a total of twenty hours of programming from up to 31 available network digital video recorder (nDVR). “Customers never have to miss a show, movie or game again with the REVGO Play app,” REV Product Development Director Odette Carey said. “By simply installing the app on their mobile device, customers can instantly begin enjoying their favourite channels they love at home or on the road. Additionally, with the ability to record content to cloud storage, customers can get their content any time they want to within a 30-day period. ” Key features include nDVR functionality, where customers can remotely schedule and manage recordings from any device and catch -up TV, which enables the replay of recently aired programs. REVTV customers will also have the flexibility to utilise the restart TV option, to start a currently running program from the beginning. Carey continued, “The number of nDVR and live channels available on REVGO Play is dependent on the customer’s REV television package subscription. We’ve designed this to be as user-friendly as possible while maximising the selection of channels for our consumers. ” Customers can simply download the REVGO Play app from the Google Play Store or The Apple App Store and log in with your REV My Account email and password. Damien Blackburn, Aliv CEO welcomed customers on the Aliv network to stream the app over Aliv sharing, “Now use the best mobile TV app, REVGO Play on the best devices, on The Bahamas’ fastest network.” Aliv has indicated that customers with the unlimited plan will be able to stream the app for free over their network. “Shakespeare in Paradise receives major donation” -- Bahamian theatre company, Ringplay Productions announced REV as the major sponsor for the ninth annual Shakespeare in Paradise theatre festival. “Quite simply, our partnership with REV over the years has allowed Shakespeare in Paradise to exist.” says Dr Nicolette Bethel. “ Our festival produces original works, brings in international productions, and revives old but well-loved Bahamian plays for new audiences, among them a whole group of students from the public and private schools. The festival, which has become a major event for schools and Shakespeare fans alike is designed to expose Bahamian audiences to the very best in local, Caribbean, African and American theatre traditions. The festival will run from Monday, October 2nd until Saturday, October 14th boasting four plays and two concerts this season.

REV announces Centric renaming to BET HER

“Network Aligns itself with BET Brand”— Cable Bahamas (CBL) announced that it’s official, the first entertainment network targeting black women has renamed from Centric to BET HER. Starting September 25th, the network channel, which can be found on REVTV channel 380 will look a little different. Described as “Her World. Her Way”, the brand refresh brings the network more aligned with its flagship brand BET.
“REV is gladly embracing Centric’s rebranding to BET HER,” says REVTV Product Coordinator M’khel Ferguson. “A huge segment of our subscribers are women between the ages of twenty five to fifty four, which is the channel’s target audience.” Ferguson continued, “We are committed to sourcing content to delight our subscribers and BET Her definitely fits the bill.”
